The 26th Annual Pioneer Run has donated over $91,150 to local charities. The last ten years the race has been linked with the local Links for Life organization that raises money to fight breast cancer through education and research. This traditional Labor Day weekend event has been a Louisville tradition for 26 years.
 

This race has become well known for the great door prizes including dinner certificates and many others.

The Homeward Bound 5K Race/Walk which benefits The Coalition for the Homeless, begins at 9 am in Cherokee Park on Cochran Hill at Cochran Dog Run. Participants will run or walk the scenic route through the park. Early registration is only $20 per person. Participants under age 18 will enjoy a $5 off youth discount.
